Breastfeeding Course

Overview: This popular course is designed for anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge of breastfeeding and for those wanting to support women who are breastfeeding. It is suitable for those with little or no knowledge of breastfeeding and those who have already have some breastfeeding knowledge/experience.

Accreditation: This course is accredited by the Open College Network (OCN OTC) at level 3 and carries 6 credits.

Venue: University of Reading, London Road Campus

Cost: £235 (This includes assessment fees and VAT)

Dates in 2012:  

• 30th - 31st March
• 5th - 6th October

Attendance: 9.30 - 4.30 pm.

Length of Course: 2 Days

Assessed Course: Yes, students will need to successfully complete the post course assessment at home following the course (students will need access to a breastfeeding mother). If students cannot access a breastfeeding mother they can opt not to do the assessments but will only get a certificate of attendance.  Assessments are sent to learners via email after the course - saving learners both time and money.  Learners are required to submit their assessments back to us via email.  (Alternative postal arrangements are available for learners unable to use email - however this incurs an additional fee of £15 for UK based learners - this is payable after the course)

Suitable for: Maternity Nurses, Childminders, Nannies, Doulas, Paediatric Nurses, Pregnant women or anyone who would like to support breastfeeding mothers.
