**The online version of the course is split into 3 modules which learners complete one at a time on their computer by logging into our online learning portal. On completion of a module learners then progress to the next module until all 3 are complete. Learners have 4 weeks to complete each module but can take a break between each one to allow for personal and work commitments. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANYONE ENROLLING FOR THE MATERNITY PRACTITIONER AWARD COURSE MUST ENSURE THAT ALL THREE MODULES ARE COMPLETED BY APRIL 2022 AT THE VERY LATEST.
This option is particularly popular for non UK based learners and those who prefer the flexibility of learning from home at their own pace. Learners will have access to support from the course tutor and can email or phone in with queries while studying.
Assessments are an integral part of the online course and will be completed online. Learners need to ensure they complete these within the 4 week deadline for each of the modules.**

A minimum of 3 years professional childcare or nursing/midwifery experience including professional experience of caring for newborns (3 months and under) for example:
a) Experienced Nannies & Maternity Nurses
b) Midwives and Nurses
d Health Care Assistants/Nursery Nurses with Maternity Unit experience

Ability to hear audio/video via your computer- this course contains video clips.
Use of a computer to study the course - tablets and smartphones are not advisable for studying as the display and functionality can be affected.
Additionally learners should be familiar with navigating a website and have used a Word Processing package such as Microsoft Word in the past.
